Premium Plus Chick-N-Cottage Assembly Instructions

If you have purchased a Premium Plus Chick-N-Cottage , from us or others and can't find your instructions or you would like to see how easily it goes together before you buy. The Chick-N-Cottage is a great value priced Coop for up to 3 to 5 Hens depending on size/breed. The Chick-N-Cottage features an attached run, easy access Doors, 3 removable Roosts, and many others.  Just keep reading as we lay out how to put your Chick-N-Cottage together. To Keep your Coop in tip top shape we suggest that you re-stain all the wood surfaces every year using a  safe non-toxic water based stain (available at your local hardware store).

We recommend the Premium Plus Universal Nest Box as a great add-on item this Hutch has a "pop-out" for the this Nest Box.

Always place your hutch in a sheltered area protected from temperature extremes and high winds.

 Assembling your Premium Plus Chick-N-Cottage

First, you will need a Phillips Screwdriver (power driver makes the job much faster), you may also want to have another person to help hold the parts in place while you assemble. The beauty of this product is you only need one tool to put it all together, a Phillips Screwdriver.

 Step 1  

First layout all parts and make sure you have all the listed parts for both your Chick-N-Cottage. If you have questions or issues regarding your Little Red Hen Hutch please give Ware Mfg. a call 1 800 295-2243 M-F 8 am to 4 pm MST.

 Step 2

Connect the Front Panel to the Wooden left Panel and the Mesh right Panel using 4 of the 1-3/4 inch Screws (A). Then attach the inside Wall to the center of the front Panel with 2 of the 1-3/4 inch Screws (A).

Step 3

Attach the Back Panel to the already assembled Hutch section using 6 of the 1-3/4 inch Screws (A) 

Step 4

Attach the inside Roost above the floor in the Hutch. Place the two Floor Panels in place inside the Hutch. Insert the Roof support Bar into the notched retainer provided inside the Hutch. 

Step 5

Attach th Roof right Panel onto the top of the Pen side of the Hutch using 2 of the 1 inch Screws (B). Install the two outside Perches and the Ladder inside the Pen. Install the ladder to the Door inside the Pen by hooking the two Ladder Hooks to the two Eye Hooks on the Coop Door.

Step 6

Install Roof Left side by sliding the two Hinge parts together as shown in the diagram picture inserts. Then secure with 2 of the 1 inch Screws (C). Attach the Locking Hinge Roof Support using 4 of the  1 inch Screws (D).
Step 7
Your Chick-N-Cottage is now ready for your Flock. We recommend the optional two hole Universal Nest Box to finish off you Coop.
